Our Mission
Pinecrest Research Corporation, Inc. provides creative solutions to difficult environmental problems. Pinecrest also funds and performs research in the public interest on a variety of topics including ecological restoration, systematic botany, and environmental and social justice. We are helping publish several books on the social and natural history of California, and recently founded a wholesale native plant nursery in collaboration with Green Valley Farm. Pinecrest clients include corporations, family farmers, NGOs, and government agencies. See our Projects page for more information. Most projects involve coordination with multiple government agencies and our network of locally-based professionals including engineers, hydrologists, and permitting specialists. Our service area encompasses all of Northern & Southern California, and in particular Sonoma, Marin, Napa, Lake, Mendocino, Humboldt, & Trinity Counties.
